A Bridal Shower to Inspire

Be sure to check out Hostess with Mostess for inspiration on this “Gossip Girl Inspired” Bridal Shower created by event planner Carolyn Chen of The Special Day.

The details of this party are absolutely fabulous… from the fluffy pink peony arrangements and aubergine ruffle placemats (swoon!) to the lovely guests who were all decked out in black & white “Upper East Side Chic” to match the party’s color palette & style!

You may not be able to do this exact layout and design - but you can be inspired to do the "look for less", for example you can substitute the very expensive peonies for large pink fluffy carnations. Yes, I said carnations! En masse they look great and there is a variety that is large and fluffy that would make you wonder if it was a peony. See below...

Decor & Favors

(This one is for extra eye-candy and show you more of the look these girls created!)

Drape inexpensive pashmina shawls over the backs of your reception chairs to jazz up standard seats, protect shoulders from the evening chill and send home with guests as sure-to-be-used-again party favors. These Pictures are from Garden Party Sisters, please be sure to check them out. They are very creative and great to work with!

This Post is from Ashley Brooke Designs' Blog and the images are from Laura Hooper Calligraphy. Hope it helps and be sure to check them out!
This week I thought I would concentrate on Envelope Addressing. Your Dog Down the Aisle

Think about your dog's personality before including him or her in your wedding ceremony. Dogs that spook easily or don't like strangers may not be the best choices for your wedding party. To avoid issues, do a practice run with your pooch to make sure that he or she is familiar with the ceremony site and any new collars or leads before the big day. Thanks to brides.com for the tip! Happy Planning!
