Makeup applied in natural light will always look truer than makeup applied in artificial light. So face a window when putting on makeup, or take a mirror outside every so often during application to check blending and avoid streaks. {Even the flower girl gets a little sparkle!}

Keep the Grease Away on the Big Day!

Keep your wedding day glow from looking greasy by applying translucent powder lightly under your eyes and on your nose, chin and forehead. You can also bring along the rice paper sheets that absorb the oil without adding makeup or heaviness. Happy Planning!

2 weeks prior: Exfoliate and moisturize for silky smooth skin. {I really believe this should be done on a regular basis to always keep your skin at its best!)
1 week prior: Get a bikini wax and splurge on a massage.
1 day prior: Have a professional pedicure and manicure.

Lasting Lips

Line lips with a nude lip pencil—the closer to the color of your lips the better for a natural look. To keep color lasting longer, fill in lips with liner before applying lipstick. (It's also a good idea to apply a lip balm an hour or so before you do your makeup- then start the lipliner/lipstick application with dry lips.)

Make-up Tip

Lipstick really stays put if you start with a waxy balm (let it sit for 30 minutes); then fill the center of the lips with pencil that matches your lipstick. Apply loose powder over that with a brush, follow with lipstick, and then go back to define the edges with pencil.
